Hi everyone, my name is Blueberry
Meet Blueberry, a charming British Shorthair who’s looking for his forever home. At around 2 years old, Blueberry is a gentle and affectionate cat who loves his quiet time and cozy naps. He has a soft, plush grey coat and a calm, steady personality, making him the perfect companion for a peaceful, indoor-only home.
Blueberry has had some challenges in the past, as he once suffered a fractured leg. Thankfully, his injury has been fully treated and healed, but he would do best in a home where he can live a low-stress life and avoid any rough play. He’s completely healed and gets around just fine, but he prefers a peaceful environment with no other pets.
Blueberry’s ideal home is one where he can be the center of attention. He enjoys the company of people, but his calm nature means he thrives in a quiet space without the hustle and bustle of other animals. Blueberry doesn’t require much in terms of maintenance, just a loving and caring owner who can provide a safe, indoor environment for him to relax and enjoy life. He may be disposed to getting arthritis in his leg that has been repaired.
Blueberry requires a dental procedure in the next few weeks, but do not fear, this procedure will be covered by Lort Smith.
If you’re looking for a loving companion who enjoys a relaxed lifestyle, Blueberry could be the perfect match for you. He’s ready to settle into a home where he can be pampered and adored. Would you like to meet Blueberry and see if he’s the right fit for your family? Please fill out an expression of interest form today!
Adopting an animal
Adopting an animal is a rewarding experience that will last a lifetime. But before you adopt a pet please take some time to consider the commitment you are about to make. Sometimes the excitement of pet ownership can overshadow factors that should be considered before adoption.
Adopting a shelter pet is a lifelong decision that will have a major impact to your normal, everyday life. Please remember that a cat or dog can live for up to 20 years and they will rely only on you for their wellbeing for their entire life.
- Do I have time to exercise the dog every day?
- Do I have time for puppy pre-school and time to socialise a puppy?
- Do I have at least an hour every day to spend with my cat?
- Do I have time for obedience training?
- If renting, does the landlord permit pets?
- Is the backyard big enough and is the fencing secure?
- Does the whole family want a pet?
- Will the pet be allowed inside?
- Will I have to move interstate or overseas in the foreseeable future?
- Will I have to move to another rental property where the landlord may not allow pets.
Pets are a lifelong monetary commitment, you will need to factor in:
- Weekly animal food bills and necessities
- Yearly council registration
- Monthly medications like heart worm/intestinal worm and flea treatments
- Annual vet visits for vaccinations and check ups
- Unexpected vet bills due to accidents or medical conditions
- Ongoing grooming
- Boarding fees for human holidays
- Enrichment like training, toys etc
