Hi everyone, my name is Honeycomb

Honeycomb is a sweet, shy little guy with a heart as soft as his name. At just 8 months old, he’s still finding his paws in the world and is looking for a calm, patient home where he can truly flourish.

He may be timid at first, but with gentle encouragement and a peaceful environment, Honeycomb is slowly learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. Each day, he shows a little more courage, whether it’s exploring a new corner of the room or accepting quiet head scritches from someone he trusts.

Honeycomb isn’t the life-of-the-party kind of kitten, he’s the quiet companion who will one day curl up next to you while you read or nap in the sun. He’s hoping to find a home that isn’t too busy or loud, without young children or overly energetic pets, where he can come out of his shell at his own pace.

This little guy will thrive in an indoor-only home that offers plenty of cozy hiding spots, gentle voices, and a whole lot of love. What he needs most is someone patient and kind, who understands the quiet magic of helping a shy cat grow in confidence and trust.

If you’re someone who finds joy in the small, heartwarming moments—like a timid kitten taking a treat from your hand or bravely hopping up beside you for the first time—Honeycomb might just be your perfect match.

Please fill out an expression of interest form if you would like to meet this gentle boy.

Adopting an animal

Adopting an animal is a rewarding experience that will last a lifetime. But before you adopt a pet please take some time to consider the commitment you are about to make. Sometimes the excitement of pet ownership can overshadow factors that should be considered before adoption.

Adopting a shelter pet is a lifelong decision that will have a major impact to your normal, everyday life. Please remember that a cat or dog can live for up to 20 years and they will rely only on you for their wellbeing for their entire life.

  • Do I have time to exercise the dog every day?
  • Do I have time for puppy pre-school and time to socialise a puppy?
  • Do I have at least an hour every day to spend with my cat?
  • Do I have time for obedience training?
  • If renting, does the landlord permit pets?
  • Is the backyard big enough and is the fencing secure?
  • Does the whole family want a pet?
  • Will the pet be allowed inside?
  • Will I have to move interstate or overseas in the foreseeable future?
  • Will I have to move to another rental property where the landlord may not allow pets.

Pets are a lifelong monetary commitment, you will need to factor in:

  • Weekly animal food bills and necessities
  • Yearly council registration
  • Monthly medications like heart worm/intestinal worm and flea treatments
  • Annual vet visits for vaccinations and check ups
  • Unexpected vet bills due to accidents or medical conditions
  • Ongoing grooming
  • Boarding fees for human holidays
  • Enrichment like training, toys etc
