A two-year-old kelpie x Siberian husky, Tucker suffers from cerebellar hypoplasia, a degenerative disease in the part of his brain that controls motion. He is uncoordinated, has a high-stepping gait and tremors – especially when he’s concentrating. He is not in any pain and it does not affect his mental ability. In fact, he is incredibly loving!
Lort Smith volunteer Anastasia met Tucker on one of her shifts and the rest is history. Tucker now has a canine brother, Elliot the greyhound, who he just adores. His carers have even moved to a bigger house to better accommodate their beloved dogs. Tucker landed on all fours – albeit a bit wobbly!
