Why desexing your pet is important
Desexing is an important part of preventative vet care. It helps pets live healthier lives and reduces unplanned litters in our community. Our Emergency team often see pets with problems that desexing can help prevent, such as:
- Pyometra
- Pregnancy and birth complications
- Roaming‑related injuries
- Fighting injuries
- Testicular cancer
- Mammary (breast) cancer

Register your interest for low cost desexing
Terms and Conditions: This offer is available to valid Health Care Card holders only, with a limit of two pets per household. Places are limited and appointments will be offered in the order Expressions of Interest are received. Pets must be medically suitable for desexing on the day. The offer includes desexing, and optional vaccination if your pet is due. This offer is not transferable and cannot be used with other promotions. Expressions of Interest may close early once places are filled, and if you miss out, we will keep your details in case more spots become available.
