Clancy has very quickly earned the nickname Orange Potato, after settling into his foster home. Why? Because he’s perfectly content spending most of the day snoozing on the couch or curled up in his favourite comfy bed, just like a little potato!
Don’t be put off by his worried face, once he settles into a home he’s all about the gentle tummy rubs and couch time.
He’s a little more active in the evenings, enjoying a short wander around the house before returning to his favourite pastime: napping, often at the end of your bed.
Orange Potato is a gentle, affectionate cat who loves cheek pats, chest rubs, and bum scratches. He’s happy to be picked up, reliably uses his litter tray, and will happily emerge from his hiding spot as soon as it’s time for dinner.
While he’s a sweet boy, this Orange Potato isn’t the most confident cat and needs a little time and patience to settle into a new home.
Because Orange Potato is FIV positive, he should be the only cat in the home unless any resident cats are also FIV positive.

- Do I have at least an hour every day to spend with my cat?
- Do I have time for obedience training?
- If renting, does the landlord permit pets?
- Is the backyard big enough and is the fencing secure?
- Does the whole family want a pet?
- Will the pet be allowed inside?
- Will I have to move interstate or overseas in the foreseeable future?
- Will I have to move to another rental property where the landlord may not allow pets.
