A Paw-some pet adoption program has made bringing home a dog even more precious as new owners receive a personalised keepsake.
New canine parents that adopt through the Lort Smith adoption program will take home a Lonely Planet Atlas of Dogs book and a “pawtograph” memento to symbolise the next chapter with their new companions.
The Atlas of Dogs is an illustrated guidebook to the history, physical characteristics and personality traits of breeds. It also contains themed spreads with quirky information such as how dogs communicate.
Before leaving the Lort Smith adoption centre, each pup will stamp a “pawtograph” on the front page of the Atlas.
“Adopting a new pet marks a special day in a family’s life and receiving a personalised gift makes the experience even more exciting” Said Lort Smith’s Amanda Doolan.
