Melbourne institution Lort Smith Animal Hospital and iconic publisher Lonely Planet have joined forces to launch a fun, one-of-a-kind new Adoption Program!

Kicking off on November 23rd, every paw counts when you adopt a dog from Lort Smith and receive a free Lonely Planet ‘Atlas of Dogs’ book.

Making it even more fun, before leaving the Lort Smith adoption centre, each adopted dog will stamp their paws and leave their own ‘Pawtograph’ in the front cover of the Atlas with the help of their new family.

This marks a special chapter for families and the book will remain as a keepsake for years to come.

The new Atlas of Dogs from Lonely Planet is a fully illustrated guide that explores the who’s who (or should that be ‘woof’s woof’) of dogs. Doggy profile pages give the low-down on each one– where they come from, their history, their physical characteristics, and their personality traits. There are also special themed spreads on ‘dogs that work’, ‘how dogs communicate’ and ‘doggy heroes’ and more.
