WHAT IS IT?
Insulinoma is a common condition of middle-aged to older ferrets.
CLINICAL SIGNS
- Seizures
- Tremors
- Lethargy
- Disorientated
- Ataxia
CAUSES
Insulinoma, Toxicity, Brain disease, Trauma
TREATMENT
- Anti-seizure therapy (diazepam/midazolam)
- Fluid therapy
- Removal of pancreas or tumour
- Likely needs further diagnostics (blood test, radiography, CT)
