Unicorn, named by his little human sibling, is a four-year-old brown rat. This magical little fellow came to Lort Smith with a bulging eye, lethargy and a loss of appetite.

It turned out that Unicorn had a brain tumour! Fortunately Lort Smith has a highly experienced and well regarded unusual pets and wildlife vet on staff and Dr Tristan was able to remove the entire tumour, along with the right eye which it was connected to.

Unicorn recovered beautifully and was back to his usual affectionate self in no time. His doting carers and plethora of other household pets played an integral role in his healing process.
