Chrissie Swan is one of Australia’s most loved personalities. Her very first pet was a jet-black moggie called Louie and he was adopted from Lort Smith. For these reasons, and many more, Chrissie makes for a perfect Lort Smith Ambassador.

In 2017, Chrissie officially launched our new-and-improved regular giving program – Pet Protector.

“I love animals, especially cats. To be honest I’m a bit of a crazy cat lady! Animals just bring so much joy into your life and it makes me sad to think of animals that don’t have loving homes or can’t get the treatment they need because their carers can’t afford it,’ Chrissie says. ‘That’s what the Pet Protector program is about – protecting sick, injured and vulnerable animals. The program is amazing because even if you can’t have a pet of your own, the ability to help someone else keep their pet, or provide treatment when they have run into trouble, is extraordinarily appealing. Becoming a Pet Protector is such an awesome idea, and I’m thrilled to be an Ambassador for the program,” shares Chrissie.
